Morten Stender

Morten is a co-founding and Managing Partner at Staun & Stender, a leading advisory and solution provider specialising in business architecture, enterprise architecture, digital transformation, and governance. With more than 25 years’ experience advising European organisations, he supports clients in strategic planning, business transformation, and IT and architecture governance, helping align digital initiatives with measurable business value.

With a strong professional background in strategy management and a proven track record of successful strategy implementation across large-cap organisations, Morten combines deep academic insight with extensive hands-on consulting experience. Since the 1990s, he has both researched and practised consulting in strategy, planning, and IT management, contributing to both the theoretical and practical advancement of enterprise transformation.

A recognised practitioner and senior thought leader in Business Architecture, Enterprise Architecture (EA), IT Strategy, and governance, Morten is a frequent speaker at major EA conferences and an advocate for modern “living” enterprise architecture, emphasising flexibility, real-time governance, and the integration of emerging technologies. He has authored articles on Enterprise Architecture, Application Portfolio Management, Value Stream Management, and IT transformation, and is known for leading cross-functional teams while designing EA frameworks, value-stream models, and IT investment roadmaps.

Morten holds a PhD, M.Sc., and B.Com, serves as an active IEEE reviewer, and is an appointed examiner at Danish universities, helping shape the next generation of leaders in digital architecture and modelling.
