Helen Appleton

Helen gained a Business analysis degree in the 90s and has worked in the BA and data analytics fields ever since. In addition to a decade in both Finance and Healthcare, she has covered defence, charities, purchasing and recruitment.
Recent project have covered Data architecture, dashboard design, and Cyber security on Hydrogen powered busses.

Althought Helen has been in developer roles for SQL and Dashboards, she feels her communication skills make her more effective in the BA space.

Having attend the last 2 European BA conferences, she has notices the lack of technical focus in the agenda and working in a specialist data consultancy thought this was something to address. Earlier versions of this presentation have been used at client sites of for BAs joining the organisation. Feedback has been that it made them think more deeply about how requirements we captured so she is willing to she this experience with a wider audience.
