Kevin Quinlan is the Data Governance & Quality Lead at ESB, Ireland’s primary energy utility. Here, Kevin drives strategic data governance initiatives across the entire energy ecosystem from generation through distribution through energy trading and retail sales. With extensive experience in implementing frameworks for data stewardship, quality assessment, and compliance, Kevin has led the rollout of enterprise-wide governance standards and KPIs, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and regulatory requirements. Passionate about fostering a data-driven culture, Kevin utilises emerging technology, especially GenAI, to educate the organisation about Data Governance, creating AI storybooks and podcasts to share his message. A certified CDMP Data Governance Specialist, Kevin combines technical insight with practical leadership to advance data maturity and empower organisations to unlock the full potential of their information assets. Kevin has previously won awards for DAMA UK Data Governance, AI Ireland Awards, PMI Under 35 Changemakers and CIO Future Leaders Award.
