
Ian Wallis
Ian Wallis has over 30 years’ experience in data and analytics as both a permanent and interim senior leader in 20 organisations across 12 industry sectors, delivering some of the UK’s largest data and analytics transformation programmes in the private and public sectors.
Ian has a keen interest in how to deliver strategy into execution, and is the author of ‘Data Strategy: from definition to execution.’ He is an advocate of engaging wider business leaders from the outset, stressing the importance that data and analytics is done with the organisation, and not to them to achieve success. He is a regular conference speaker, often highlighting cultural awareness, information literacy and understanding the data to analytics delivery cycle as key to engagement and delivery.
Ian has focused most recently on delivering transformational change through data and analytics in the public sector.His team won the Exemplary Practice Award for Data & MI in MOD and he is currently driving an insight-led approach through another newly formed team to support HMRC’s Chief People Officer deliver the strategic goal of making HMRC a great place to work.
