Ian Wallis

Ian Wallis has nearly 40 years’ experience in data and analytics as both a permanent and interim senior leader in 20 organisations across 12 industry sectors, delivering some of the UK’s largest data and analytics transformation programmes in the private and public sectors. Ian has a keen interest in how to deliver strategy into execution, and is the author of ‘Data Strategy: from definition to execution.’ Over the last six years, Ian has created and led the People Analytics & Insight directorate at HMRC, which is recognised by external consultants to be in the top quartile of People Analytics functions across private and public sectors globally. He is the People Data Owner at HMRC and leads on data and reporting for the organisation as it introduces new technology to deliver a shared services model across HR, Finance and Procurement.
