
Gemma King
Gemma King is a Senior Programme Manager with extensive experience in local government and public service delivery. Since 2024, Gemma has led a major transformation programme at the British Library, implementing a suite of strategic library service systems to modernise legacy platforms, most of which were destroyed by the 2023 cyberattack. Prior to her role at the British Library, Gemma led a number of projects and programmes in local government, including a borough-wide Cost of Living programme, overseeing multi-agency workstreams designed to support residents in crisis and strengthen community resilience. She played a leading role in the authority’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic and has delivered a number of digital transformation projects across a range of services.
