Cristina works as a Data Quality expert for Zurich Insurance, as part of the Enterprise Data Analysis and Architecture team. She is involved in defining data strategies to identify global exposure, implement data quality rules on non-structured data repositories (data lake), among other global initiatives across the group. She is also the Global Zurich Data Community Manager, which holds 300+ members and is in charge of integrating and sharing a common vision for data management. Cristina de Salas doctored in Chemistry and previously worked as a researcher in green chemistry in Germany and Japan, where she received several awards for her work. She jumped into the data management world when she joined an IT company in Kuala Lumpur dedicated to study the traceability of palm oil, becoming the Lead of the Data Management team.

Dan Griffiths is a Lead Data Analyst with over 10 years professional experience in the full data development lifecycle. Having started his career in software development delivering complex bespoke applications to enterprise audiences he progressed through a number data focused roles starting with the extraction and transformation of data to populate fully functional Data Warehouse’s. Dan then moved into a more business facing role as a Business Intelligence Developer and then into a unique large scale Data Integration project between two major enterprise systems. Throughout his progression through various roles one issue kept arising during the implementation of each of the projects, this was the quality of the data. This inspired Dan to move into a Lead Data Quality role where his focus was delivering solutions that engaged the entire workforce. Dan is now in a Capability and Governance role exploring business architecture with the aim of improving business processes.

In the meantime he completed his MA degree at Business & Information Systems in Boğaziçi University. After 5 years of experience in MEA and worldwide teams, he moved to Microsoft Germany in 2013.
