Bruce Prendergast

Bruce is Operational Strategy Lead for the Chief Digital Information Officer (CDIO) at HMRC, designing both organisational strategy and developing a strategy practice. Driven by a personal imperative to deliver ever better value in public services, Bruce has frequently sought out some of the most challenging strategy and transformation roles, becoming a powerful advocate for service design as an essential element in achieving this mission. Previous experience that has contributed to his ‘worldview’ include as Head of Transformation design for the Customer Compliance Group at HMRC, strategy and operating model transformation within the police service, product owner responsible for designing a digital service to replace the Common Agricultural Policy, as senior strategy advisor for EU Exit, and as portfolio manager for the combined EU Exit and Covid19 response for the agri-food chain – bringing a systemic view to the strategic response.
