We are delighted to welcome submissions for the Outstanding Service Design Initiative Award, recognising exceptional work that has led to meaningful, user-centred improvements in services, systems, or experiences.
This award celebrates individuals, teams, or organisations who have used service design principles to deliver innovative, impactful, and sustainable change.
If you’ve delivered a service design initiative within the past 24 months that has enhanced customer or user experiences — or improved how services are delivered or supported — we invite you to share your story.

To celebrate service design initiatives that:
Are grounded in user needs and design thinking
Deliver measurable improvements to services or experiences
Demonstrate collaboration, creativity, and practical impact
Please structure your submission by answering the following questions:
Project Overview
Describe the service design challenge or opportunity. What were the objectives and the scope of the initiative?
User Research and Engagement
How did you involve users, staff, and stakeholders in the design process? What insights shaped the direction of your work?
Design Approach and Innovation
What service design tools, methods, or frameworks did you use? What innovative ideas or approaches were introduced?
Outcomes and Impact
What improvements or benefits did the initiative deliver (e.g., increased satisfaction, efficiency, accessibility)? Please share any metrics, feedback, or evidence of impact.
Sustainability and Lessons Learned
How is the new service or experience being maintained and evolved? What challenges did you encounter, and what key learnings can others take from your work?
