Business Analysis - to Maturity and Beyond, Debbie Paul

It is not entirely clear when the terms business analysis and business analyst first entered general use. Originally they werent used in connection with Information Systems-related work at all but were used in the context of financial business analysis. They have now, to a large extent, supplanted terms such as systems analyst and organisation and methods analyst; it could be said that Business Analysis as we understand it today is the offspring or merger - of these two older disciplines......

Go Governance, Go Early. Aaron Zornes.

Aaron Zornes will be chairing the Master Data Management Summit Europe 2012 taking place in London, 23 - 25 April.

Aaron will be presenting his keynotes on Master Data Governance and Top 15 MDM & MDG Solutions at the MDM Summit on 24 and 25 of April.


Open up any model in a modelling tool, and youll probably see one or more diagrams, each of which is intended to convey a message. Each diagram can be likened to a swan the diagram is serenely gliding across the screen, and you just know that theres a lot going on under the surface. It doesnt matter what kind of diagram were talking about here; whether youre looking at a data model, process map, organisation chart or something else, the diagram designer has to decide how much information to include in the message, and how best to convey that information.....

Do you or any of your team have a formal presentation to contribute to this event? All selected speakers will be entitled to attend the event free of charge. You are more than welcome to submit a number of proposals and these can be submitted across the conferences. At this stage we would only require a brief outline of your suggested presentation. Making a submission is relatively easy - the main information that we would need are your contact details, a suggested title of the presentation, 150 words including 3-5 bullet points summarising your proposed presentation and a brief biography. Please note that the deadline for submissions is 13 April at the latest.
