Improving, and even more exciting, innovating corporations is a crucial challenge in a world of continuously emerging new business models and technologies. This importance, however, is not reflected in the available set of corporate tools, techniques and methods. There is an over-supply of (reactive) analyses approaches while little guidance, beyond brainstorming, is provided for the task of coming up with innovative designs. This interactive workshop is based on global, applied research and will provide a number of guidelines and methods for how to improve the organisational innovation capability. Short exercises will be used to provide a deep understanding for the application of the proposed methods in a variety of industries. Case studies will demonstrate how organisations have implemented and benefitted from these ideas.

Key Issues:

  • How to address roadblocks to corporate innovation
  • Differentiating problem, constraint and opportunity-driven innovation
  • Establishing the process of innovation management
  • Innovating without creativity – four pathways to innovative design
  • Collaborative consumption – an example for how to innovate
