International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA®)

IIBA United Kingdom

International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA®) is a non-profit professional association focused on developing the voice of the business analysis community. IIBA® supports the recognition of the profession and works to maintain standards of practice and certification.

IIBA UK, formed in 2006, is an organisation run by business analysts for business analysts. Everyone involved with running IIBA UK is a volunteer and passionate about building the business analysis community. It works collaboratively with other professional associations enabling a co-ordinated approach to the development of the business analysis profession within the UK.

The role of the business analyst has evolved significantly over the last decade in the UK and can be said to be the set of tasks, knowledge and techniques required to identify business needs and determine solutions to business problems. The valuable contributions made by the business analyst are now becoming recognised at all levels within the organisation to help identify problem/opportunity areas, to enable successful business solutions to meet the challenging needs of organisations today. This evolution of the business analyst role has been accelerated as organisations undergo significant changes to respond to economic uncertainties. Business analysts are now increasingly working within areas such as business strategy, organisational change, operational improvements, and new product/service development.

The BA Conference Europe is an ideal opportunity for business analysts to listen to the experience of peers, gain the knowledge of experts and be inspired by thought leaders over three days. Not to mention the opportunity to network.
